FBI Director Kash Patel told the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday that there is “no credible information” that Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women to others beyond himself.
Patel emphasized that if such evidence existed, he would have acted immediately.
His comments follow a July DOJ-FBI memo finding no credible evidence that Epstein blackmailed prominent figures or involved uncharged third parties, and reaffirming that Epstein died by suicide in 2019, Axios has reported.
Lawmakers continue to press for transparency, with ongoing House Oversight investigations and potential votes on unsealing Epstein-related documents.
