Three police officers were killed and two others critically injured in a shooting Wednesday in York County, Pennsylvania, during a domestic-related investigation, authorities said.
The gunman was shot dead by police and has not been publicly identified.
State and federal agencies, including the FBI and ATF, are assisting local authorities.
Governor Josh Shapiro called it a “tragic and devastating day” for Pennsylvania and offered prayers for the victims and their families, Fox News has reported.
The scene remained active into the evening as officials continued the investigation.
