Man dies from blunt impact injuries after riding roller coaster in Florida

A man in his 30s died after riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster at Universal Orlando’s new Epic Universe park, with an autopsy ruling the cause as blunt impact injuries.

The death was deemed accidental, though officials have not released details about where the injuries occurred.

The man was found unresponsive after the ride and later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Universal has closed the attraction and said it is cooperating with investigators, CNN has reported.

The incident comes just months after the park opened in May, with Epic Universe already reporting several other ride-related medical emergencies.
