Another dolphin dies at troubled Miami Seaquarium

Another dolphin, Bimini, has died at the Miami Seaquarium, a marine park facing ongoing criticism for repeated animal welfare violations, bankruptcy, and legal battles.

Bimini, a 26-year-old Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin, died from chronic health issues, the Seaquarium said.

The park has been protested for over a decade, with groups like PETA calling for its closure.

Bimini was one of four dolphins the USDA had previously marked for confiscation due to alleged Animal Welfare Act violations, though the seizure was never carried out, USA Today has reported.

Two of the four dolphins on that list have now died, highlighting ongoing concerns about animal safety at the facility.
