President Trump said Rupert Murdoch, his son Lachlan, Oracle’s Larry Ellison, and Dell’s Michael Dell are likely to be involved in a U.S. deal to keep TikTok operational.
The plan would give Americans control over six of the seven board members and the app’s algorithm, with Oracle overseeing U.S. data and privacy.
Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping have discussed the deal, but China says the sides are still far apart, CNBC has reported.
The negotiations aim to address national security concerns and ensure TikTok can continue operating in the United States.
