Trump to present plan on ending Israel’s Gaza war to Arab, Muslim leaders

President Donald Trump will present a plan to Arab and Muslim leaders on Tuesday at the UN General Assembly in New York, outlining his vision for ending Israel’s war on Gaza and rebuilding the devastated enclave.

Leaders from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Turkiye, Indonesia, and Pakistan are expected to attend.

Trump’s proposal reportedly includes an Israeli military withdrawal, regional peacekeeping troops, and international funding for reconstruction, with no role for Hamas and possible involvement of the Palestinian Authority.

Indonesia has already offered to send peacekeepers, while several countries have recently recognized Palestinian statehood.

The war, which has killed more than 65,000 Palestinians, continues with heavy Israeli bombardments and ground operations in Gaza City.

Ceasefire negotiations have repeatedly collapsed, with Israel escalating strikes even after apparent agreements, Al-Jazeera has reported.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Hamas has drafted a letter offering a Trump-guaranteed 60-day truce in exchange for releasing some captives, though this has not been confirmed.
