IDF encircles Gaza City as part of Operation Gideon’s Chariots II

The IDF has completed the encirclement of Gaza City, securing key areas including Sheikh Radwan, the coastline, Sabra, and Tel al-Hawa, according to military sources.

Over 600,000 residents are estimated to have fled the city, while Hamas reportedly remains confused about IDF positions and the scale of the assault.

Clashes have been limited so far, with Hamas avoiding major confrontations, though one Israeli commander, Maj. Shahar Netanel Buzaglo, was killed in a skirmish.

The IDF has reinforced forces on land, at sea, and in the air, placing dozens of battalions on high alert and increasing security across Israel, The Jerusalem Post has reported.

Military sources say Hamas is under heavy pressure, reportedly using violence to prevent civilians from leaving, as evidenced by attacks on a UN convoy.
