Tom Tiffany to run for governor of Wisconsin

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) announced his 2026 bid for Wisconsin governor, joining a crowded Republican field that includes Bill Berrien and Josh Schoemann.

Tiffany, a Trump supporter, criticized Democratic leadership for economic and educational declines and pledged to freeze property taxes, protect farmland, and uphold “Wisconsin values.”

His run opens his House seat, though it is expected to remain safely Republican, Politico has reported.

Democrats in the race include Francesca Hong, Kelda Roys, David Crowley, and Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, while outgoing Gov. Tony Evers has not endorsed a successor.
