On Tuesday, President Donald Trump unveiled plans for the U.S. to spearhead an international effort to enforce the Biological Weapons Convention.
He said the initiative would rely on a pioneering AI verification system designed to build global trust and prevent potential disasters.
Trump urged the United Nations to take part, calling the project one of the first major tests of artificial intelligence in international security.
His announcement came during a speech at the U.N. General Assembly, where he also joked about technical mishaps he experienced, including a stalled escalator and a broken teleprompter, the Express has reported.
In his remarks, Trump highlighted his administration’s accomplishments since returning to office, framing the new initiative as part of a broader push for global leadership.
