United Airlines ground stop sees all planes briefly held across U.S. and Canada

United Airlines briefly halted all flights departing in the U.S. and Canada Tuesday night due to a technological issue.

The ground stop lasted about 30 minutes before normal operations resumed.

This marks the second time in less than two months that United has requested a halt for an unspecified technical glitch, CBS News has reported.

A similar technology-related suspension in early August caused widespread delays across major U.S. airports.
