A United Express flight operated by CommuteAir overshot the runway while landing at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport in Virginia on Sept. 24.
The plane, with 50 passengers and three crew members on board, ran off the paved runway onto emergency stopping equipment due to insufficient braking distance.
No injuries were reported, and all passengers and crew were safely transported to the terminal, USA Today has reported.
The airport temporarily shut down, with partial operations resuming around midnight and full operations by 7 a.m. on Sept. 25, though some flights experienced delays.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the incident.
