Police evacuated Utah State University’s Old Main building after a suspicious package was found just hours before a Turning Point event, the first since Charlie Kirk was killed on campus.

The parcel was discovered in the Taggart Student Center basement, prompting a bomb squad to detonate it.

Students were ordered to leave immediately as officers cleared the area.

The event was later moved to another location with heightened security, the U.S. Sun has reported.

Authorities later confirmed the package was harmless.
