Three men, allegedly linked to Hamas, were arrested in Germany for planning attacks on Israeli or Jewish targets. Authorities found firearms, including an AK-47, and ammunition in a raid.

Two suspects are German citizens, one was born in Lebanon. Hamas denied any connection, saying it confines its operations to Israel and Palestinian territories.

The arrests raise questions about whether the men acted on orders or were simply sympathizers.

European police remain on high alert following the 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel, which killed over 1,200 people and left dozens of hostages, the Associated Press has reported.

Previous cases of alleged Hamas weapons networks in Europe are still under trial.
