Two Delta Connection regional jets collided while taxiing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday night, tearing off part of a wing and denting a fuselage.
The incident involved Endeavor Air flight 5155 bound for Roanoke and flight 5047 arriving from Charlotte.
Passengers described the impact as “super jarring,” though no travelers were injured; one flight attendant was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Emergency crews responded quickly, and all passengers were bused back to the terminal, given meals, and offered hotels and rebooking options, the New York Post has reported.
Delta said it is cooperating with federal and airport authorities to investigate, while stressing that customer and crew safety remains its top priority.
Airport operations were unaffected.
