Ex-QB Mark Sanchez arrested, faces three possible charges

Former NFL quarterback and Fox Sports broadcaster Mark Sanchez was arrested in Indianapolis on Saturday following an incident in which he was stabbed and hospitalized, police said.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department charged Sanchez, 38, with three misdemeanors: battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.

The altercation occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the city’s downtown Wholesale District, and detectives said no other suspects are being sought.

Sanchez remains hospitalized in stable condition, according to Fox Sports, which confirmed he will not appear on Sunday’s Colts-Raiders broadcast, ESPN has reported.

The former New York Jets quarterback, who led the team to two AFC Championship appearances, received well wishes from his former team and fans across the league.
