Ace Frehley, Kiss’ original lead guitarist and founding member, dies at 74

Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist and founding member of Kiss, has died at 74 in Morristown, New Jersey, following a recent fall.

Known as “Space Ace” or “The Spaceman,” Frehley captivated fans with his galactic makeup, smoking guitars, and pyrotechnic stage shows.

He helped define Kiss’s iconic 1970s era, influencing glam rock and hair metal bands, and was the first of the band’s original lineup to pass away.

Frehley also pursued solo projects and rejoined Kiss for reunions, earning a place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the original members in 2014, the AP has reported.
