Russian barrage causes blackouts in Ukraine

Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine’s power grid with hundreds of drones and missiles, causing blackouts across eight regions and damaging key energy infrastructure.

President Zelenskyy plans to meet Trump in Washington to request more U.S. air defenses, long-range missiles, and joint drone production, while also pushing for tougher sanctions on Moscow.

Trump, after a call with Putin, said they would meet in Budapest to discuss ending the war, NBC News has reported.

Ukraine has struck back at Russian oil facilities, but its forces face a challenging fight against a larger Russian army, especially from the air.
