A Russian drone strike in Kramatorsk, eastern Ukraine, killed two journalists, Olena Gramova and Yevgen Karmazin, and wounded another, Alexander Kolychev.
The attack, carried out by a Lancet drone at a petrol station, destroyed their car, according to Freedom Media and the Donetsk regional governor.
Gramova had worked in journalism since 2014, while Karmazin joined Ukraine’s international broadcasting channels in 2021.
Kramatorsk, one of the few civilian areas in Donetsk still under Ukrainian control, is located about 16 kilometers from advancing Russian forces, Al-Jazeera has reported.
The strike highlights ongoing dangers for journalists covering the conflict amid mandatory evacuations in parts of the region.
