Plane carrying foreign tourists crashes en route to popular reserve in Kenya, killing 11 people

A plane crash in Kenya’s Kwale region killed 11 people, mostly foreign tourists, while flying to Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The victims included eight Hungarians, two Germans, and the Kenyan pilot.

The aircraft went down in a hilly, forested area about 25 miles from Diani airstrip amid heavy rain, and the wreckage was found burned, leaving unrecognizable remains, CBS News has reported.

Authorities are investigating the cause, and the airline said its priority is supporting the victims’ families.
