CNN reported that Iran is rebuilding ballistic missile production with help from China despite the U.N.’s “snapback” sanctions reimposed in late September.
European intelligence sources told CNN that Iran received more than 2,000 tons of sodium perchlorate in late October — a dual‑use chemical that can be used to make ammonium perchlorate for solid‑fuel missiles — and that some cargo ships allegedly traveled with tracking systems turned off.
The shipments may have exploited the fact that sodium perchlorate is not explicitly banned, and China told CNN it was “not familiar with the specific situation” while asserting it enforces export controls, The Jerusalem Post has reported.
