New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was critically wounded in a shooting early Sunday morning in Midtown Manhattan.
He was shot in the abdomen outside the Sei Less restaurant after a dispute escalated, though it remains unclear whether he was the intended target.
The shooter fled in a BMW X6, and another luxury vehicle also left the scene as witnesses refused to cooperate.
Boyd was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition, and no arrests have been made, the New York Post has reported.
The 29-year-old, currently on injured reserve, joined the Jets this season after previous stints with the Vikings, Cardinals, and Texans.
