President Donald Trump has urged House Republicans to vote for the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files, reversing his prior resistance.

Trump framed the move as a way to dismiss what he calls a “Democrat Hoax” while highlighting Republican achievements.

Critics have accused him of attempting to conceal information, particularly after he ordered the Justice Department to investigate Democrats’ alleged ties to Epstein.

Republican and Democratic lawmakers pushing for full disclosure expressed concerns that Trump’s actions could be a distraction or “smokescreen,” The Guardian has reported.

With Republicans holding a narrow House majority, more than 40 GOP members are expected to support releasing the documents.
