Two people were hospitalized after being shot at San Jose’s Westfield Valley Fair mall on Black Friday, according to police.
Officers responded around 5:40 p.m. and found both victims, whose conditions remain unknown.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated rather than an active-shooter situation, and the mall is being evacuated as a precaution while the investigation continues, CBS News has reported.
Authorities have released no suspect information, and residents are asked to avoid the area; Mayor Matt Mahan said his prayers are with the victims and emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the community.
