Obama lauds those who are resisting Trump

Former President Barack Obama criticized what he alleged was the politicization of the Justice Department and the U.S. military during a lecture in Arkansas.

He claimed that political influence has increased under President Donald Trump, but said it has not fully taken over largely because of resistance within the military.

Obama contrasted this with his time in office, saying he earned military leaders’ respect by keeping politics out of decisions.

He emphasized that the military’s loyalty should remain with the Constitution, not any president or party, MS NOW has reported.

Despite expressing hope for future leadership, Obama said the country is currently more polarized and unstable than at any point in his lifetime.
