Police say new evidence gathered in JonBenét Ramsey killing

Nearly 28 years after JonBenét Ramsey’s 1996 murder, Boulder police say her case remains a top priority.

Authorities have conducted new interviews and tested evidence using evolving DNA technology, though details of the findings have not been released.

JonBenét, a 6-year-old child beauty queen, was found dead in her family’s basement after being strangled, sexually assaulted, and suffering a fractured skull.

Her parents and older brother were cleared as suspects in 2008 following DNA testing, and her mother passed away in 2006, USA Today has reported.

Police urge anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing it is never too late to help solve the case.
