Sen. Mark Kelly called Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s investigation into him “a bunch of bull****,” saying it appears intended to intimidate retired service members from speaking out against the president.

The probe stems from a video Kelly and five other Democrats, all military veterans, posted urging troops not to follow illegal orders.

Hegseth asked the Secretary of the Navy to review Kelly for “potentially unlawful conduct” and is considering whether he should face a court martial or administrative action.

Kelly’s attorney warned that any proceeding would be unconstitutional and pledged legal action to block it, ABC News has reported.

Kelly, who retired from the Navy in 2011 after 25 years, said the investigation is performative and aimed at sending a warning to service members and government employees.
