JD Vance’s windows smashed in ‘break-in’ attempt

A man armed with a hammer was arrested after allegedly trying to break into Vice President JD Vance’s home in Cincinnati, Ohio, authorities said.

The suspect, 26-year-old William DeFoor, allegedly smashed windows, vandalized a Secret Service vehicle, and attempted to enter the house before being apprehended by agents.

Vance and his family were not home at the time, as they were in Washington, D.C.

DeFoor faces multiple charges, including criminal trespass, vandalism, and obstructing official business, and has prior vandalism convictions, the Telegraph has reported.

Officials are investigating whether Vance was deliberately targeted, while the motive remains unclear.
