King Mohammed VI of Morocco has accepted President Donald Trump’s invitation to join the US-led Gaza Board of Peace, Morocco’s foreign ministry announced.
The board will oversee the transitional National Committee for the Administration of Gaza as part of the second phase of Trump’s peace plan.
Russia confirmed that President Vladimir Putin received an invitation and is reviewing the proposal, while Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also reportedly received an invitation.
Kazakhstan’s press secretary said Tokayev is among the first leaders invited, making Kazakhstan a founding member, the Jerusalem Post has reported.
The White House has not officially confirmed the membership of Putin or Tokayev.
