Trump says media focuses too much on Minnesota ICE coverage, not enough on corruption allegations

President Donald Trump criticized media coverage in Minnesota, saying too much attention is on ICE operations and not enough on alleged corruption and taxpayer fraud by state officials.

On Truth Social, he argued that ICE is removing dangerous criminals allowed into the U.S. under federal policies, while Minnesota politicians are allegedly mismanaging or stealing billions in public funds.

Trump cited investigations into fraud in programs like child care, food assistance, and autism services, though he did not provide specific figures.

Minnesota officials, including Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, have disputed the scale of the alleged losses and accused Republicans of exaggeration, even as state and federal probes continue, Fox News has reported.

Trump also accused Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar of deflecting attention from the fraud, while ICE operations in Minneapolis and St. Paul have faced protests and harassment.
