Two federal agents have been placed on leave following the fatal shooting of U.S. citizen Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, an incident that has sparked ongoing protests.

President Donald Trump criticized Mayor Jacob Frey, warning he is “playing with fire” after Frey stated that Minneapolis will not enforce federal immigration laws.

Frey responded that local police should focus on public safety rather than immigration enforcement.

In a separate incident, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was sprayed with an unknown substance at a town hall event but was unharmed and continued speaking, the BBC has reported.
