3 Killed as Vehicle Crashes Into Grocery Store in Los Angeles

A vehicle crashed into a 99 Ranch Market in Westwood, Los Angeles, Thursday afternoon, killing three people and injuring six others.

The victims who died—a 55-year-old man, a 42-year-old woman, and a 30-year-old man—were in the store’s bakery at the time.

Two patients were reported in serious condition, two had minor injuries, and two left the scene against medical advice.

The driver, an elderly woman, also struck a bicyclist nearby but is cooperating with investigators; authorities believe the crash was accidental, though the cause is still under review, KTLA 5 has reported.

Local officials and the grocery chain expressed condolences, and the Westwood store remains closed while authorities complete their investigation.
