More than 50 people were arrested in Minneapolis during protests remembering Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother fatally shot by an ICE officer on January 7.
While much of the demonstration outside the Whipple Federal Building was peaceful, some protesters damaged property and clashed with authorities.
Hundreds also gathered at Powderhorn Park to honor Good and Alex Pretti, a nurse killed by Border Patrol on January 24.
Good’s wife, Becca, highlighted the ongoing harm faced by families affected by immigration enforcement, News Nation has reported.
Meanwhile, federal and state authorities plan a joint investigation into Pretti’s death, as the Trump administration continues to enforce immigration policies, including efforts to end asylum claims for a detained Minneapolis family.
