Pope Leo XIV sends generators, medical supplies to Ukraine

Pope Leo XIV has sent 80 generators and medical supplies to Ukraine to aid civilians amid ongoing war and harsh winter conditions.

The deliveries, including antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, supplements, and melatonin, arrived in Kyiv and Fastiv, cities heavily affected by the conflict.

Melatonin was highlighted due to widespread sleep deprivation among Ukrainians.

The Vatican emphasized that further shipments of food and medicine are planned, with distribution coordination underway, The Hill has reported.

Pope Leo XIV called for a “just and lasting peace as soon as possible” in the war with Russia.
