A shooting at a high school hockey game in Pawtucket left two people dead and three critically injured on Monday.
The gunman, identified as 56-year-old transgender man Robert Dorgan, also known by the alias Roberta Esposito, shot four family members and a family friend before taking his own life.
Police said the attack stemmed from a domestic dispute, with Dorgan’s transgender identity reportedly fueling years of family court conflicts.
Witnesses described chaotic scenes at the rink, including a bystander who tried to disarm Dorgan, though he had a backup firearm, the New York Post has reported.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident while the community mourns, with three victims still in critical condition.
