Food delivery robot goes rogue, causes property damage at L.A. home

An East Hollywood resident, Kaiya Reel, reported that a pink Coco food delivery robot damaged her garden and got entangled in her fence.

The robot uprooted plants and dragged fencing and palm fronds down the street while Reel chased after it, shouting for it to stop.

Neighbors noted that while delivery robots are common in the area, unpredictable incidents like this are unusual.

Previous problems include robots colliding with an ambulance, knocking over a motorcycle, and stopping abruptly in front of a mobility scooter, KTLA 5 has reported.

Reel said the company running the Coco robots will reimburse her for the garden, and measures will be taken to prevent similar incidents.
