Protests in Pakistan following the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran left at least 22 people dead and over 120 injured, as demonstrators tried to storm the U.S. Consulate in Karachi and attacked U.N. and government offices in northern regions.
In Karachi, six people initially died, with the death toll later rising to 10, and some victims were in critical condition.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, 12 people were killed and more than 80 wounded during clashes with police, and protesters damaged U.N. and local offices.
Authorities deployed troops to regain control, and all U.N. staff were reported safe, the AP has reported.
The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan urged citizens to avoid large crowds and monitor local news amid ongoing demonstrations at consulates and the embassy in Islamabad.
