Israel expands offensive with new wave of coordinated strikes in Iran

Israel and the United States launched a large-scale joint military campaign against Iran on Saturday called Operation Epic Fury, reportedly killing senior leaders including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Donald Trump warned that any severe Iranian retaliation would be met with unprecedented force.

Officials said Israel is targeting Iranian leadership, while the U.S. is striking military facilities and ballistic missile sites deemed an imminent threat, with the Pentagon confirming the deployment of B-2 stealth bombers armed with 2,000-pound bombs.

The Gulf Cooperation Council cautioned that it could take all necessary measures, including military action, in response to Iran’s missile and drone attacks, Fox News has reported.

Meanwhile, the United Kingdom approved U.S. use of British bases for what Prime Minister Keir Starmer described as a specific and limited defensive effort to eliminate Iranian missiles at their source.
