Trump pledges to ‘avenge’ fallen US service members as tensions with Iran intensify

President Donald Trump vowed to “avenge” the deaths of three U.S. service members as the conflict with Iran intensifies across the Middle East.

In a video statement, he offered condolences to the families of the fallen, warned that more casualties are likely, and emphasized strong U.S. and Israeli resolve.

The strikes that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and senior Iranian officials have triggered Iranian missile and drone attacks on U.S. bases in Bahrain, the UAE, and Iraq, though claims of hitting American carriers have been denied.

The U.S. military has deployed two aircraft carrier strike groups, supported by guided-missile ships, to sustain operations and maintain pressure on Iran, Fox News has reported.

The conflict has also sparked global concern, anti-war protests in U.S. cities, and heightened security near American embassies, while domestic authorities are investigating recent incidents, including a shooting in Austin, as potential terrorism-related spillovers.
