China unveils 217 mph electric hypercar with sofa cockpit and AI brain

Xiaomi unveiled its futuristic all-electric hypercar, the Vision Gran Turismo, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The car, part of Gran Turismo’s Vision GT program, can theoretically reach 217 mph (350 km/h) and features an aerodynamic teardrop-shaped cockpit, cutouts, and air ducts for optimal speed and downforce balance.

Its interior is designed as a “Sofa Racer,” with 3D-knitted seats and a cabin that adapts to the driver’s mood using Xiaomi’s AI-powered Pulse system.

While fully virtual and playable in Gran Turismo games from September, it is not confirmed for real-world production, the U.S. Sun has reported.

Xiaomi also created a home racing simulator to let users experience the hypercar digitally, blending gaming, design, and futuristic automotive concepts.
