4 men arrested in UK on suspicion of aiding Iran

London police arrested four men suspected of spying on the Jewish community on behalf of Iran.

The suspects — one Iranian national and three dual British-Iranian citizens aged 22 to 55 — were detained during early-morning raids in and around north London.

Authorities said they are suspected of assisting a foreign intelligence service by surveilling locations and individuals, while six additional men were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police said searches are ongoing and urged the public, especially the Jewish community, to remain vigilant, ABC 7 News has reported.

Officials say Iran-linked spying and plots in the U.K. have become a growing concern, with intelligence services reporting multiple disrupted Iran-backed threats in recent years.
