Six Flags Entertainment Corporation announced it will sell seven of its North American parks to EPR Properties for $331 million to strengthen liquidity and focus on its core operations.
The parks being divested include Valleyfair (Minnesota), Worlds of Fun (Missouri), Michigan’s Adventure (Michigan), Schlitterbahn Galveston (Texas), Six Flags St. Louis (Missouri), Six Flags Great Escape (New York), and Six Flags La Ronde (Quebec, Canada).
Six Flags said the parks will continue normal operations during the transition, and it will maintain and operate its remaining 34 parks across 23 locations.
The sale is expected to close between the end of Q1 and the start of Q2 2026, allowing Six Flags to invest in new rides, technology upgrades, and enhanced guest experiences at its retained parks, ABC News has reported.
EPR Properties called the acquisition a strategic expansion into experiential real estate, highlighting the parks’ stable cash flows, accessibility, and long-term value.
