At least 10 killed in Ukraine’s Kharkiv as Russian missile hits apartment building

A Russian missile strike on a residential building in Kharkiv killed at least 10 people, including two children, and wounded 16 others.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attacks, which involved 29 missiles and 480 drones targeting energy facilities and infrastructure across Ukraine.

Ukrainian air defenses intercepted most of the assault, downing 19 missiles and 453 drones, but several strikes still caused widespread damage.

In Kharkiv, a new Russian cruise missile, Izdeliye-30, destroyed homes, killing schoolchildren and their parents, while other regions faced fires and rail disruptions, the AP has reported.

Zelenskyy called for international support to protect civilians and highlighted the growing threat of Iranian-designed drones in both Ukraine and the Middle East, linking the conflicts.
