Up to 150 U.S. troops have reportedly been wounded during the 10-day war with Iran, according to sources who spoke to Reuters.
The Pentagon had previously reported only eight serious injuries but later estimated about 140 total wounded, most of them minor.
Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said 108 service members have already returned to duty, while the eight seriously injured are receiving advanced medical care.
Iran has carried out retaliatory strikes on U.S. military bases and other targets, including diplomatic sites, hotels, airports, and oil infrastructure, Reuters has reported.
U.S. officials say Iranian attacks have decreased as American forces target Iran’s weapons stockpiles and missile launchers.
