John Fetterman said he supports the assassination of Iran’s newly named supreme leader, Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei.
Fetterman made the comments on NewsNation, arguing that removing Iran’s top leadership would limit the suffering caused by the country’s militant regime.
He suggested that Israel should eliminate Mojtaba Khamenei if he survives any injuries from ongoing attacks.
The remarks came amid reports of Iran threatening a drone strike on California, News Nation has reported.
Fetterman emphasized that diplomatic efforts had been attempted but said military action against Iran’s leadership is justified if necessary.
