Afghanistan’s Taliban government accused Pakistan of overnight airstrikes in Kabul and Kandahar, killing at least four civilians as border clashes entered their third week.
Pakistani aircraft reportedly struck fuel depots used by the airline Kam Air, which also serves UN flights, though Pakistan has not commented.
The fighting began in late February over attacks on military posts, with both sides claiming heavy losses in what Islamabad calls an “open war.”
Recent strikes coincided with Chinese envoy Yue Xiaoyong visiting Islamabad after talks in Kabul, discussing threats from militant groups like the TTP and ETIM, the AP has reported.
The clashes have ended a ceasefire brokered by Qatar and Turkey last October, and Pakistan insists operations will continue until Kabul curbs militant activity on its soil.
