A sudden surge of alleged Bigfoot sightings has been reported in Portage and Trumbull Counties, Ohio, with at least eight encounters in five days, sparking excitement among enthusiasts.
Witnesses described large, ape-like creatures ranging from 6.5 to 10 feet tall, often with dark brown or reddish fur, spotted in broad daylight and woodland areas, sometimes vocalizing or leaving massive footprints.
One sighting even left a guard dog “shaking with fear,” and another involved a creature crossing a road near Streetsboro.
Experts caution that while multiple sightings in a short time are unusual, most reports of Bigfoot are typically misidentifications of wildlife or optical illusions, The Mirror has reported.
The Bigfoot Society has urged locals to stay alert and cautious, calling this cluster of sightings “the most intense event since 1978’s Minerva Monster flap.”
