Luxury apartment block in Dubai hit by Iranian drone

A drone strike hit a luxury skyscraper in Dubai Creek Harbor, UAE, causing a fire but no reported injuries, as all residents were evacuated.

The UAE Ministry of Defence said its air defences are responding to missile and drone attacks launched from Iran, amid retaliatory strikes following the U.S. and Israel’s Operation Epic Fury in Tehran.

Previous strikes near Dubai’s airport injured four foreign nationals and forced a temporary grounding of all flights, including those by Emirates.

Authorities are cracking down on civilians filming the attacks, arresting a 60-year-old British man for sharing footage that could cause public panic, Metro has reported.

The UK is preparing evacuation support, placing the RFA Lyme Bay on heightened readiness to assist stranded British tourists and expats in the region.
