The IDF has expanded ground operations in southern Lebanon to widen its forward defense zone along the border.

The operation targets Hezbollah infrastructure and militants to reduce threats to northern Israeli communities.

Prior to the ground advance, the IDF conducted airstrikes on identified targets in the area.

The move aims to create an additional security buffer for Israel’s northern border, Haaretz has reported.
