Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reportedly urged U.S. President Donald Trump to “keep hitting the Iranians hard,” echoing the late King Abdullah’s previous advice to “cut off the head of the snake.”

Bin Salman and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed met on Monday to discuss the escalating regional tensions with Iran.

They condemned Iran’s attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as a dangerous escalation threatening regional security and stability.

The leaders emphasized that GCC nations will continue defending their territories, the Jerusalem Post has reported.

They also pledged to provide all available resources to maintain security and stability in the Gulf.
