Gabbard fends off questions about Fulton County election raid

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard faced questioning over her presence at an FBI raid on a Georgia election office, which was seizing 2020 voter records.

Senators, including Mark Warner and Jon Ossoff, pressed her on her authority and oversight during the operation, raising concerns it could signal federal interference in elections.

Gabbard said she was there at President Trump’s request to “ensure the integrity of our elections” and called claims that she participated in law enforcement “false.”

She denied handling ballots or election materials, saying her role was limited to observing and thanking agents, The Hill has reported.

Democrats warned the raid could be part of broader efforts to federalize elections, but Gabbard insisted her involvement stayed within her legal authority.
